A PRINTMAKING HOLIDAY ANYONE?
For some time now I’ve been looking out for an opportunity to hold a workshop somewhere inspirational away from my studio.
The search continues. Somewhere in the Hebrides has been one idea. An artist friend of mine spent an idyllic week on one of the islands a year or so ago with a group of like minded artists painting and sketching and coming together to share skills and ideas on a daily basis. I thought this sounded pretty cool.
In September this year, his nibs and I are taking a break on Vatersay off the coast of Barra and South Uist. I’m going to put some feelers out for suitable accommodation – probably self catering to keep costs down – either there or on one of the other Hebridean islands.
The other idea that crossed my path recently was a print studio somewhere near Barcelona, that offers self catering accommodation for individuals and groups plus what looks like an amazing print studio. I’m going to investigate costs and best times of the year (when it isn’t swelteringly hot) and what else would/could be on offer.
If you might be interested in either or both of these ideas, email me to register your interest. Alternatively, if you know of somewhere lovely, either in the UK or elsewhere – probably in Europe – that you would like me to investigate or that you’ve actually been to, do let me know.
